Sailor Moon Retro Video Clips

These are the many Sailor Moon video clips I have collected over the years. They are pretty much all in poor quality by today's standards, but very nostalgic as well. Not only do I have simple clips from the show, but I also have some really old music videos and fandubs produced by various people back in the day. These were produced long before YouTube was even a thing.

Most of the music videos came from AOL (America Online) users who used to share videos through fun themed mailing lists and other means, as well as the once popular p2p file sharing programs. Unfortunately, unless their name was embedded in the video itself, I don't know who made them as it was such a long time ago, and I certainly don't have AOL anymore (is it even a thing still?). If you produced any of the music videos, or know who did, just contact me about it, much appreciated!

The various fandubs were also from different dubbing groups, including notable ones like Negavision and Mark Sprague, some of them pretty rare and hard to find these days. Again, just like the music videos, if you know the credit for who made the Unknown ones, please do let me know.

It should also go without saying that most of these clips, particularly the .avi and .mov clips, are encoded with ancient codecs that probably won't play on your computer/phone/whatever by default. There are various options to choose from for a player. My favorite player is MPC-BE (Windows only). macOS users also have IINA which is a great choice. For something more universal there's VLC Player, it's available on almost every platform. If you want to edit/convert these to another format, you have some options as well. If you are on Windows, Virtualdub2 is a great choice, as it can open almost anything, and can output to many formats, including ProRes/.mov. Just make sure you are using Virtualdub2 and not the original Virtualdub as the original hasn't been updated in years and doesn't support many formats without using a bunch of plug-ins first. For everyone else, FFMPEG always works like a charm if you don’t mind using command line prompts, but it's pretty easy to use, just Google how to use it.

Lastly, I've included the "Last Modified" date. This is just simply the date my computer reports as the last modified date. Generally this is when the file was originally downloaded(by me of course), though it can be off sometimes depending on circumstances. But it should give you a general idea of the time when the file was created.
